Today, we raise our glasses to celebrate International Whiskey Day. March 27th serves as a global tribute to the diversity and artistry that define whiskey’s vibrant culture, heritage and craftsmanship.

Irish whiskey stands tall amidst the global whiskey landscape, captivating enthusiasts with its smoothness, complexity, and centuries-old tradition.

At recent events like the PGA Golf Shows in Orlando, where Excelerator Luxury Golf Tours to Ireland showcased the exquisite flavours of a 12-year-old Bushmills single malt and “The Irish Man”, the pour of choice at the Irish Whiskey Museum in Dublin, the demand for whiskey was huge.

The business of whiskey is apparent throughout the island of Ireland. Popular on our tours we have explored a number of distilleries. (Photos included)

Reflecting on our own personal journey with whiskey, sparked by winning a raffle prize – a bottle of the special 25th-anniversary malt by The Macallam at the Highland Games in 1984. Surprisingly it is still in the collection which includes bottles from a cask of millennium Bushmills 25-year-old single malt. We recently auctioned a bottle for charity with the highest bid 1500 GBP.

As we navigate this dynamic landscape, it’s clear that Irish whiskey’s legacy extends far beyond mere consumption, presenting opportunities for both personal enjoyment and financial growth. As we celebrate International Whiskey Day, let’s raise our glasses to the bright future of Irish whiskey. #IrishWhiskey #WhiskeyInvestment #TheBusinessOfWhiskey
