Recap Day 6 at The Open - Excelerator Luxury Golf Tours

We based ourselves at a prime viewing spot beside the 13th and 17th greens – an epic place to watch the action unfold!

Caught up with some of our tour guests from North Carolina and Georgia, then made our way to one of the most iconic spots in Portrush: the famous Harbour Bar – voted the top golf bar in the world by a U.S. magazine.

And of course, no visit is complete without seeing Willie Gregg, the heart and soul of the place. Dressed in black with his signature beard, Willie’s more than just a barman – he’s a living legend for golf in Northern Ireland. Whether you’re a local or a pro with a Claret Jug, everybody knows Willie!

His warmth, wit, and walls full of memorabilia make the Harbour Bar the unofficial 19th hole of Royal Portrush.

Finished the day with an amazing dinner at Basalt, enjoying views over the Harbour and across to Donegal.
