Early spring has graced us with summer-like weather here on the North Coast-clear skies and sunshine illuminating the stunning Royal Portrush Golf Club. Have been able to get out to play most days this week due to the daylight saving and light evenings. The course is in impeccable condition. The grandstands are swiftly rising, and with less than 100 days to go, the excitement is palpable.
This July, Royal Portrush will host The Open Championship for only the third time, welcoming over 275,000 spectators from around the globe.
The 2019 Open at Portrush attracted 237,750 fans, a record for The Open held outside of St Andrews, generating over £100 million in economic benefit for Northern Ireland.
In 2025, projections indicate a combined economic and media benefit exceeding £150 million for the region.
